Ginger R. Mickelson, B.A., LMT, NCTMB certified
Ginger is a graduate of the Virginia Learning Institute in Falls Church, VA and has been practicing since
February 2002. She is trained in
Swedish,
Chair Massage,
Deep Tissue,
Reflexology,
Sport,
Active
Isolated Stretching
(A.I.S.) and is a
Certified Integrative®
Reflexologist, Trager® Practitioner
and a
Pre-conception/Prenatal/Post-partum/ Massage
Therapist.
Ginger will be on maternity leave from late March to
June 2009.
Ginger's specialty is mixing massage and movement
with a structural approach to improve posture and
your ability to move comfortably. The beginning
of her bodywork is gentle, passive joint movement
and rocking to open up joints and trunk,
improving circulation and range of motion and
giving the feeling of elongation from head to
toe. Then she massages the muscles with shea butter. Stretches are incorporated throughout the session. Ginger also often works some foot or hand reflexes (Reflexology)
to de-toxify and restore internal balance to specific areas. Ginger also does 30 or 60 min. foot or hand and foot reflexology
sessions. As a Christian therapist, Ginger is happy to offer a prayer for her clients if they desire.
Ginger enjoys
walking, biking, hiking, traveling, reading and
writing poetry in her free time. She looks
forward to serving you with safe, caring touch
that is vital to your physical, mental, and
emotional well being.

College Massage Therapy Program and of the
Universidad of San Andres physical therapy
and health promotion program in native
Bolivia. For a decade Carol’s work has
focused on soft tissue rehabilitation and
pain management working with chiropractors,
MDs and dentists. In 2004, after getting
married and later having her first child,
Carol came in tune with and mastered her
prenatal and pregnancy massage therapy
skills.
Carol's availability
varies. She works primarily on Sundays.
During her sessions, Carol combines
Myofascial Release
and Deep Tissue
techniques enhanced with
Passive Joint
Mobilization
and soothing
Swedish strokes
to end the session. Carol’s training in
anatomy and as a physical therapist provides
her a natural ability to isolate each
muscle. Through her understanding of anatomy
and muscle function Carol is able to access
deeper muscle layers with a very slow tempo
while applying a deep pressure.
Carol is currently training in
Thai Massage
and completing her certification in
Orthopedic Massage. An adjunct faculty
member in the NVCC Massage Therapy Program,
Carol also delivers physiotherapy continuing
education courses in Bolivia.
Carol enjoys traveling and exploring alternative

within ourselves and her goal is to help you
discover the touch your body is been dying
to find.
